This past week Joshua and I were asked, somewhat last minute, to host our small group bible study in our home. We love having people over so, of course, we said “Yes!” Problem is, I had just gone grocery shopping the day before. And this was one of those grocery trips where we absolutely have to stock up on the things we don’t buy regularly (dog food, detergent- little things, but hey it adds up!). Needless to say this Kroger receipt ran a little long and I did not want to have to go shopping again the very next day.
I wanted to think of what I could make to feed 3-4 couples with what we already had in the house. I had just bought whole wheat flour, mozzarella cheese, and pasta sauce. It seemed pretty obvious what I had to do…
This whole wheat pizza crust, infused with Italian seasonings, is another great alternative to a white flour pizza crust (check out my spinach pizza crust for another great alternative!). I made my dough in my bread maker and it was literally as simple as adding all the ingredients, turning it on, and walking away. Not only that, this crust bakes quickly and stays together perfectly.

Overall this was a great quick fix for a large, last minute group using all ingredients I already had in my home! We even had leftovers for lunch the next day. Let me know you enjoyed this guilt-free pizza!
