Hey wives and mamas!
This week I created a little video for you all with some ideas on what to do if your husband works long hours. Now CERTAINLY, keeping the connection and communication open when a spouse works long hours is a 2-way street! You can’t get very far talking to a wall. But if your husband is on board and misses his time with you during the day (or night, or whenever he works, or when YOU work #workingmom) these are the areas where the ball is totally in our court to make the most of our time with and away from our spouse.
If you’re feeling drained by the time away from your spouse, practice some (or all) of the tips in these videos to feel refreshed and connected to your husband, even during a long work week!
What do you do to stay connected to your spouse during a long work week? What do you do on nights and weekends to make the most of your time together?? Let me know in the comments below and share this video with a mama who is really feeling the distance right now!
These are great tips – it gets so easy to just feeeell the distance and not do anything about it! My hubby and I googlechat during the work days, and I share pics of our puppy. =) I love the idea of getting a fire pit! we have been wanting one but what with his school bills and everything else, it’s hard to splurge but we just might need to with the warmer weather being here!
That’s great that you guys send pictures throughout the day! Yes, I think many times couple feel the hardship of the distance but aren’t sure what to do about it. It’s not always that hard to fill the gap, it just takes intentionality. Good work, Laura!
I love your blog! We just got married October 25th, moved into our house one weekend the beginning of November, & the following Monday I had to drive 6 hrs. to drop my husband off to get on a riverboat. He is still gone & won’t get off till March 2nd. I’m here every day with my 4 year old, & It gets old.
