Stay hydrated
This is so important. Anyone who is going through their time of the month knows that period cramps suck. I have a friend who had to make sure she was in a safe place when her period started because there was a good chance she was going to pass out. No kidding. While staying hydrated might not keep you from passing out (which, by the way, if you do, I strongly suggest you seek out supplementation to get that under control), putting enough water in your body throughout the day will greatly ease the discomfort of those unavoidable cramps.
Light painkiller always in your purse
Ever get to work just as the monthly uterus party was about to get started and realize, “Oh crap. Today is going to suck.” I used to try to stick it out and play it tough through Aunt Flow’s visit but since becoming a mom, employee, blogger, I’ve realized, ain’t no body got time for that! Keep a light painkiller in your bag to have with you on the go so that you don’t get stopped in your tracks when unfriendly cramps show up.
Tea
Guys. Did you know there’s such a thing as monthly comfort tea??? These teas combine herbs and spices to specifically help ease cramping. Keep a stash of tea at your desk as work and next to your stove at home to put some heat on the cramps and ease them away.
Wear dresses
As tempting as it is to get your frump on for the week, putting on a dress is an awesome way to keep it cute, simple, and comfy. Wearing a dress is the perfect solution when you’re wanting to keep your yoga pants on all day but momlife, work, and everything in between is telling you you can’t.
Rest, rest, rest
As much as I try to power through the day and week when aunt flow comes to visit, I’m not a very happy person if I’m tired, achy, and uncomfortable on top of being generally inconvenienced. Communicating to my husband I need a nap or to go to bed early during those few days is a super helpful way to feel rested and ready to go when I would normally just try to grin and bear it.

Thanks for sharing these pointers. My time of the month seems to last for 10 days sometimes, so I try all that I can do to stay positive and feeling good. I love the idea of putting a dress on to feel beautiful! #client
I know! I love that I can fake looking put together just by wearing a dress. I love summer for its dresses!
When it comes my time of the month I am just so irritable and so not motivated to do anything. Dresses are definitely my go to!
There’s no fresher hell than being on your period and being without pads or tampons lol. Every time I buy a new box, the first thing I do is make sure all my duffle bags and purses are all stocked up that way if it rolls around unexpectedly I’m prepared. I’ve tried tracking my period in the past but it never works because my periods are always irregular.
Yess! Tampons in all the bags haha! I can’t not have a bag without zip pockets because my toddler love to search for new treasures in my purse haha
Tea is my go to remedy for everything. I drink it even more when I have my period. It takes all my troubles and pain away.
Tips every woman should know. I should probably try the dress suggestion. I’m known to go frumpy when I’m on my period.
P.S. I love your blog logo. I’m obsessed with pineapples.
I got to get my hands on that tea!! Great post. Stopping by to let you know you are being featured on Friday’s P3 Party post! Have a great week! Thanks for pinning!
Best,
Kim
Forget old-school tampons and pads (although I get that was the advertisement part), get yourself a Blossom cup! Inexpensive, low-hassle, no leaks, and absolutely invisible. I have 5 daughters and these have been such a money saver, both from lack of buying expensive pads and tampons, and all the savings from not needing to wash sheets 2 or 3 times every cycle. Seriously! Menstral cups! Look into them!
Cheers for that! Barely got cramps in my teens, then they started to kick off after 20. But not too bad, luckily, however, I am seeking all natural treatment to stop them in their tracks! I heard chamomile tea, epsom salts and heating pads, are real weapons, so I keep them stashed.
